A Message and Invitation from the Dominican Sisters of Sparkill

Benefiting From Your Generosity

Since our founding on May 6, 1876 the Dominican Sisters of Sparkill have lived and worked in rural, suburban and urban areas caring about the everyday needs of people.  Among our members are professionally trained educators, child-care workers, parish ministers, social workers, nurses, nurse practitioners, chaplains, artists, spiritual directors, housing managers, researchers, campus ministers and counselors.  We are located in New York, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and in Pakistan and Peru.  The Dominican Sisters of Sparkill strive to bring to life our goal of proclaiming the reign of God through a ministry for justice by responding whenever and wherever we are needed.  We believe that a life grounded in prayer and reflection is essential to the fulfillment of our goal.

Counting Our Blessings

The Dominican Sisters of Sparkill are once again ‘counting their blessings’ for the many life-giving opportunities that have been made possible through your generosity.  As we reflect over the past (fiscal) year (Sept.-August) we extend our Sincere Gratitude to you, our friends and benefactors, who have been a source of prayer and support for our varying ministries and retirement needs.  With you, we know we accomplish bringing to life our mission of being: ‘women of prayer and compassion who proclaim the reign of God through a ministry for justice and reverence for all creation.’
